This is going to be a rather short post because what I really want to do is send you off to read the article I found in the Smithsonian Magazine detailing China’s role in the war and the damage the Treaty of Versailles did to their relationship with the west. It seems foolish to try and re-hash what I found there when Lorraine Boissoneault’s words are far more eloquent that I would manage. So please follow this link and enjoy!
